To me, embroidery is a form of illustration that is enhanced its tactile textile properties. I have enjoyed embroidering on not only fabric but photography prints too.
Felting and tactile embroidery have added a sculptural feel to the textiles for example I added felt layers to an embroidery to give it dimension for the accessibility show at The Courtyard Theatre.
